One phase just wasn’t enough for Bowser’s grand plans to retain Peach in his clutches. Kamek has been working overtime to plan something truly revolutionary.

You’ll need to swim through a great stretch of the outer castle walls before getting to Bowser again, dodging various banzai bills along the way. But, upon making it out of the swarm of banzai bills, you’ll be greeted to a very large outdoor area of the castle. Waiting for you on a rocky platform will be a Marine Pop, something you haven’t seen ever since your trip to Sarasaland to rescue Daisy.

Once again reinvigorated by Kamek’s magic, Bowser is ready to take you down in his massive submarine…

along with the Koopalings, who have also been given their own smaller subs. Except for Larry, who is hanging from a sushi cage from Bowser’s sub.

Kamek had actually revived all of the Koopalings for this epic nautical finale. Bowser knew that teaming up with them would make his chances of success much larger.

Since Bowser isn’t fighting alone this time, this nautical final battle will prove to be quite chaotic, as you meander through the arena not only occupied by Bowser, but also many of the Koopalings. You’ll have to avoid fireballs, bullet bills, magic, cannons, and even some of Iggy’s extra chain chomps, which have been gifted to Morton and Ludwig’s vessels. Considering just how large Bowser’s sub is, taking it on from the outside may take more than a few blows from the Marine Pop.

This unexpected collaboration is now the very last thing standing between you and rescuing Peach. Will the excessive power of not only Bowser, but some of his closest henchmen remain too insurmountable for your oceanic odyssey to be worth it? Or, will you prevail through this nuanced partnership, defeating all of the treacherous turtles like a true warrior at sea?
